Trimat Contributes to 2016 TRB Meeting in Washington, DC

Trimat Materials Testing was pleased to provide laboratory and consulting services for two papers presented at the 2016 Transportation Research Board (TRB) meeting in Washington, DC. 

One paper was presented at the ISAP meeting by Mr. Geoffrey Rowe (Abatech), linked here

Trimat is very excited about being involved with TRB this year.  This annual meeting attracts more than 12,000 transportation professionals from around the world. The meeting covers all transportation modes, with more than 5,000 presentations in nearly 800 sessions and workshops, addressing topics of interest to policy makers, administrators, practitioners, researchers, and representatives of government, industry, and academic institutions.

 

Trimat Chosen as Third Party Testing firm for bioMerieux Expansion in Durham

Trimat Materials Testing was chosen by bioMerieux and the CM System Works to provide third party testing and inspection for the $48 million expansion at the bioMerieux plant in Treyburn Park. We will be providing technicians and project professionals for this project for the next 6 months to a year. We are very excited about this opportunity to work with bioMerieux in their first expansion at this plant in years.

Trimat Team Presents at Annual FAA Airports Conference

Mr. Christopher Bacchi and Mr. Paul Rogers of Trimat Materials Testing, Inc. presented findings and results from recent research performed on North Carolina airports. The results focused on rejuvenators and their  effectiveness and methods of evaluation. The Annual FAA conference is held in March each year in Hershey, PA and is attended by hundreds of contractors and federal employees. The presentation given by Paul and Chris can he found here

Trimat Presents at RPUG 2013

In 2013, Christopher Bacchi, VP of Trimat, presented at the RPUG annual meeting in San Antonio Texas. RPUG (Road Profile Users' Group) serves as a forum for the exchange of information between end users, data collectors, vendors, construction and design engineers and researchers who have an interest in road profiles, road roughness/smoothness, pavement surface textures, friction, and tire-pavement noise. They have annual meetings which draw participants from all over the world.

NCDOT Online Roadway Class through Stanly Community College

In conjunction with the NCDOT Materials and Tests Unit and Stanly Community College, Christopher Bacchi, Vice President of Trimat was tasked with instructing the class for online use. This class has allowed for a more efficient method of re-certification for seasoned Roadway Technicians across the State of North Carolina without needing to stay out of town and be away from their projects for 2 to 3 days at a time. The class is offered through Stanly Community College and can be accessed here
